Tracey and Scott’s Story
Tracey told us she’d tried online dating 10 months prior but was nervous and couldn’t just relax and let herself enjoy the experience of getting to know someone. “10 months later, I was ready to try again with an open mind and heart.”
“We met on my first day of signing up,” Tracey shared. As Tracey reviewed her matches, Scott popped up as a Wild Card and caught her eye. “I had no idea what that was. Nor that it would send him a “smile” from me.” Their romance began with 3 weeks of communication online and as they grew comfortable with each other, they met for their first date: dinner and a concert.
True love sometimes seems instantaneous and sometimes develops over time. For Tracey, “It was a feeling in my veins and not in my head. I had finally found someone I was comfortable being vulnerable with and allowed him in. “Even more importantly, Tracey and Scott felt the relationship was moving at the right pace, and to prove it, they said “I Love You” simultaneously on New Year’s Day 2023.
After a year of dating, Scott proposed to Tracey in November of 2023. “We had chosen the ring together, but I had no idea when it would happen. His exact words were, ‘Tracey Lynn, will you be my Mrs. Hoots?’” Of course, her answer was an emphatic YES! and they are now happily engaged.
